Furthermore, the cost and cost effectiveness of using both cadavers and artificial tissues can be quite high and quite low respectively. Once, for example, a hand has been dissected and sutured, the tissue will be in a state that no longer provides a useful subject to practise on. It must then be destroyed and a replacement bought. One limb may provide several opportunities to practise suturing, dependent on size, but once these sutures have been made that is it.
